About 18k Gold Jewellery

Pure or 24k gold is gold that hasn’t been mixed with any other metals, its purity makes it very soft and pliable so therefore it's unsuitable for regular wear due to being more prone to wear and tear.

All Au d'Azzur jewellery is made of 18K gold, which is made up of 75% gold and 25% alloy (which makes it durable and hard). This type of gold is referred to as 18 karat because 18 out of the 24 parts that make up the gold are pure gold. It keeps a balance between stability and purity so therefore is in hence preferred by many.
